Conference Theme: Leadership, Power and Responsibility: Exploring Authority in Uncertain Times
Thursday, November 5, 2026 to Sunday, November 8, 2026
This is an online 3.5 day event
You will find the conference website and registration link here: WBC Group Relations Conference. Early bird rates are available through September 15th, and there is a generous sliding scale option to help ensure accessibility for as many people as possible. We expect to be able to offer at least 20 CEUs for mental health professionals but final approval is pending; we will confirm these hours once they are approved.
Group Relations Conferences offer experiential learning opportunities for exploring the intricate dynamics of groups. Participants engage in a transformative exploration of the subtle, unconscious dimensions of power, authority, leadership, and followership, and the profound influence of our diverse identities and their impact on our interactions and relationships in real-time. The Group Relations Conference provides an innovative temporary organization, utilizing psychoanalytic and systems theories, to explore the dynamics of both conscious and unconscious group behaviors, providing valuable insights for understanding collective interactions. At the conference, people often experience transformative learning moments, which enhance their understanding of the world and their roles within it. These experiences cultivate a deeper engagement with the psychodynamics of groups, organizations, and systems and bridging theoretical concepts with real-world applications in people’s everyday lives.
Participants from a wide range of professions — including mental health care, community advocacy, pastoral work, organizational consultation, education, art, law, leadership, management, technology, and human resources — have found group relations learning deeply applicable to their work.
Sarah Rosenbaum, Ph.D., will serve as the Conference Director, and Leo Wilton, Ph.D., will be the Associate Director of Conference.
